Jamie Larse, of Durst-Larse Farms. Jamie
and his wife, Angela, have designated their 7-year-old daughter, Janie,
as the recipient
of the prize. The Larse family, along with Angela’s parents, Jerome and
Sandra Durst, own and operate a 1500-acre dairy farm in the beautiful rolling
hills of Richland County near Richland Center, Wisconsin. On the farm, they raise
heifers, along with growing corn and alfalfa. The Larses enjoy snowmobiling in
the winter when they have a chance to get away from the farm. Daughter Janie
will be entering second grade this fall and likes to play with her cousins. She
also enjoys being on the farm with her dog and all the animals.
