We began selling soybean seed by seed count 6 years ago. Over that time, we have learned what works and ways to improve the overall system. For 2006, we will continue to market soybeans on a seed count basis. SoyCount will be modified to make early pricing more accurate, seed count ranges will be more flexible and pricing levels will be combined. The result should provide the same accuracy in ordering seed, but with less changes needed during the seed ordering season.

Trelay is in their 2nd year of Total Cost System of seed production. Efficiency of inventory control and seed quality will be emphasized. QuickTreat will give growers more control of taking advantage of late season opportunities. Seed quality will be enhanced by carefully conditioning soybeans in our newly remodeled soybean facility. Timely management of our inventory will assure the right package with the right treatment at the right time.

For 2006 we are offering 2 seed treatment options. Soygard, which is a seed applied fungicide & Securekote, which is a seed spplied insecticide system aimed to reduce insect activity.
